Kahzar Rublon

Kahzar Rublon is a visual artist who specializes in realistic portrait drawings. Kahzar graduated from Kent State University in 2017 with an Integrative Studies Degree in Psychology, Writing and Pan-African Studies. Kahzar’s work is heavily inspired by contemporary African-American culture as well as inner-personal growth and reflection.

Kahzar is certified in trauma-informed teaching, and has served as a teaching artist for over 6 years, teaching and mentoring students in the areas of visual arts and creative writing. Kahzar aims to empower students with life-long skills such as patience, resilience, creative and emotional expression, perserverance and self-confidence. In addition to teaching arts classes, Kahzar also facilitates arts-based support groups for youth, addressing topics such as goal setting, conflict resolution, self-care and mindfulness through the acts of journaling, meditation and reflection.
